I offer you and your family a very warm welcome to Government Senior Secondary School, Bermiok Tokal, South Sikkim. Its acronym is BTSSS that stands for Bermiok Tokal Senior Secondary School. BTSSS is a school staffed with energetic, caring and qualified teaching fraternity along with patronised and loved by a huge number of parents, Government and Non-Government Organisations, associations and the like, who are very curious to shape the future of your children. The family of BTSSS is known as Betokians. Thus, we can refer BTSSS as Betokians.

My name is Ashok Kumar Bhagat and I'm honoured to be returning as principal of BTSSS. I know, we the Betokians are sharing an active and engaging, event-filled year of learning and educational opportunity for all of our students and families at BTSSS for many years ago.  This world is a world of learning and every child must be educated in order to cope with every transition of this modern world and to make them be ready for tackling and handling any kind of difficulties in future. Each year will provide important transitions and the acquisition of new skills that will enhance each student’s ability to apply learning in many ways.  BTSSS is committed to providing a challenging and rigorous curriculum that helps each student progress at a developmentally appropriate rate and provides a safe environment for all students.

In this present world, we cannot make our children shine their future unless they receive quality and holistic developmental education. We are already witnessing this reality being played out with the number of unemployed youths rising each year. These times also present tremendous opportunities but only if our children have been prepared to take advantage of these opportunities.

​

As the principal of BTSSS, I believe that it is my responsibility to maintain and to continue to build a supportive and collaborative spirit at our school.  Together as a school community, we will build on the traditions of the past and meet the challenges of the future in innovative and exciting ways. Betokians are receiving every year almost 100% results of Class X and XII of our school. In 2019, one of our students, Mr. Arvind Tamang was awarded as the State  (Sikkim) Topper in CBSE Board in Class XII for Commerce Stream. And our school is selected and nominated for Best National School Award in the very recent year. In addition to this, our school has already bagged gold medals in respect of National Cadets Corps. Moverover, our school's ATL Team stood 3rd Position in International Robotic Competition League held at Rangpo SSS on the 12th November 2019, which adds a grandeur to the feeling of proudness being Betokians.

BTSSS is consistently endeavouring to define what is “quality and holistic developmental education” keeping in the view of students’ inborn talents and skills by laying down the standards and being exemplar school through the integrated and innovative methodology of teaching-learning.
